These are the verses you need say and contemplate on:
“Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction (13:28) "Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee nor is He displeased (93:3). And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased (93:5). And He provides for him from sources he never could imagine. And if anyone puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him (65:3)."

Verses 13:28, 65:3, 93:3, and 93:5 are maqams to“Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him.” (98:8) maqam. If Allah wills it, some day you will say, “I am pleased with Allah; Allah is pleased with me.”

Do not despair of your Lord’s mercies.

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

Yusuf Ali’s comments (2:201): If you hasten to get all the good things of the world, and only think of them and pray for them, you would lose the higher things of the future. The proper Muslim attitude is neither to renounce this world nor to be so engrossed in it as to forget the spiritual future. (note: 224). It is important to keep balance perspective of life. Take good care of your physical, emotional health, and mental health. I wish you much success in your personal, professional, financial, social, and spiritual life. If you neglect any area of your life, your life will become like a crooked wheel which will be difficult to roll. In order to roll, keep Yusuf Ali’s comments on (2:201) in mind as go through life.
Allah speaks of this again, “Therefore, when you are free (from your immediate task), still progress (towards a higher station), and make your Lord your exclusive goal. (94:7:8). Allah is speaking to you, I and anyone who will listen. Listening is so important our progress on the authentic Sufi Path.

My dua at the end of the prayers will be as follows:

May Allah be pleased with Shabana as He is pleased with Abraham, Muhammad,
Mary, Khadija, Fatima, and Rabia. May you be blessed in going out of your home and may you be blessed in coming in to your home. May you go out of your home with you joy and come back to your home in peace. May you sleep in peace and awake in joy. May Allah be pleased with Shabana.

I appreciate your kind words. I will certainly keep you in my prayers. During the month of Ramadan, I will pray 12 rakats prayers at the time of tahjud for you.

Please understand I will not be posting any comments on this site so if you leave me comments in the future, I will not be responding. This is not a negative reflection on you nor I am disrespectful or ignoring you, but I have decided not to post any comments on this site. I hope you understand.

Abd al-Hadi is the servant of Allah who has received the response to his/her prayer (Fatiha, V. 5), “Guide us on the right path.” He/She knows the secret of the beautiful name al-Hadi, and thus becomes an instrument for man’s salvation. He/She has been charged with enforcing truth: that which Allah ordains, and that which Allah forbids.

“Say to yourself: I am conversing with Allah when I am reading the Quran” (Way to the Quran by Khurram Murad). When you are going through difficult times, contemplate on the verses cited below. (I speak from experience and testify to these verses with absolute certainty. I am glad I have gone through hell so I can help others. You may ask what kind hell was it? I would say: I have seen sunny days that I thought will never end, and I have seen rainy days when I could not find a friend (lyrics from a Rock song). During these rainy days, I learned that My Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken me nor was He displeased with me. He did not shut the door; but I shut the door on Him. All I had to do was let Him carry the burdens when it became too heavy for me. Not only carry my burdens, but let Him carry me too! What kind of Creator will not care for His creation? Are we his servants or He is our servant? When we care for his creation, He cares for us. (Please refer to Footprints by Margaret Fishback Powers). Yes, my present certainly is better than my rainy days, but it is even better than my past sunny days too. I found a Friend in Allah Who had never forsaken me nor was displeased with me. It was I who forsake Him and was displeased with Him). I know now what I knew not before.

“To the righteous soul will be said: O (thou) soul, in complete rest and satisfaction! Come back to thy Lord-well pleased (thyself), and well-pleasing unto Him! Enter thou, then, among my devotees! Yea, enter thou My Heaven! (89:27:30).

“Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him.” (98:8).

Do not despair of your Lord’s mercies.

The Prophet said, “Die before you die” and “He who knows himself, knows his Lord”. Sheikh Tosun Bayrak al-Jerrahi wrote, “ No. Hell is here. Paradise is here. Everything is here”! Huston Smith wrote about Sufis, “The Sufis are the mystics of Islam. Every upright Muslim expects to see God after death, but the Sufis are the impatient ones. They want God now-moment by moment, day by day, in this very life. And they are willing to undergo the disciplines that make that possible.”

“When Allah loves a servant He calls the archangel Gabriel and says, ‘I love this servant of Mine, love him also.’ Then Gabriel calls unto the heavens and says, “Oh all those who are in the heavens, Allah loves this servant, love him too.” So all that exist in the heavens love him. The the love of that servant is proposed to the creatures of the earth and they love him also.”

“My servant comes close to me with his continuous devotion until I love him and when I love him I become his ears with which he hears and his eyes with which he sees and his tongue with which he speaks and his hands with he holds.”

“One day I was behind the Prophet (may the blessings and peace be upon him) and he said to me: Young man, I shall teach you some words of advice: Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. …The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried”.

A man said to the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): Counsel me. He said: “Do not become angry….”

“Now I have known, O Lord,
What lies within my heart;
In secret, from the world apart
My tongue hath talked with my Adored.

Though from my gaze profound
Deep awe hath hid Thy face
In wondrous and ecstatic Grace
I feel Thee touch my inmost ground”.

Abu Ali al-Daqqaq wrote, “Servanthood is more perfect than worship (ibada). First comes worship, then servanthood, then total adoration (ubuda)”. Al-Qushayri commented on this, “Thus worship is for ordinary believers, servanthood for the elite,
and total adoration for the elite of the elite.” Al-Daqqaq also wrote, “Worship is for the one who has received true information about God. Servanthood is for the one who has seen the truth. Total adoration is for the one who has truth of being. Worship belongs to people engaged in the struggle against the lower self, servanthood belongs to the masters of endurance in that fight, while total adoration is in attribute of those who have reached the contemplation of God.”

Glorified be He Who took His servant for a Journey….

Sadiq, I am requesting that you leave these comments for NJ on your site. I believe you owe to NJ this courtesy that he gets my response. If you don’t want my comments posted, you should not have allowed his message for me being posted on your site. If you expect adab from others, then you must also practice adab yourself.

I will share this with you. You came to mind after I had posted my last comments during the first week of August on this site. I wish you Ramadan Kareem too.

The thought that occurred to me was to pray 36 rakats prayers for you in the month
Ramadan (12 rakats in the first ten days of Ramadan, 12 rakats in the middle of the month, and 12 rakats in the last ten days). I have already prayed the 12 rakats for you
and will be praying the remaining 24 rakats as specified.

It brought me tremendous feeling of joy which I can not put in words when I read your comments, “He did it. I am well-pleased. The journey has moved to a new level”. I am extremely happy for you that you are doing well. The best is yet to come! Remember the three Cs. Wise people make commitment but the fools keep wandering. When you make commitment and surrender with pure heart, sincere heart, sound heart to the One, you find peace. Shaykh al-Jilani wrote, “I arrived at the union with God by....letting my breast be at peace”. Committers and Submitters have peace. Peace with self and others is essential to the progress on the path so is making commitment to the authentic sufi path. However, self-defense is allowed. Peace at any cost is injustice so just war is better than unjust peace.

If Allah wills it, a day will come in your life when you will be able to relate at different levels to the verses, hadiths, quotes, and the poem cited so keep your mind on these. When you reach it, you will just know. When you are in the valley, meditate on (93:3),
93:5), and (65:3). Know that these are the stepping stones to (89:27:30) and (98:8).
