When we talk about
compassion
we talk
in terms of being kind.
But compassion is not
so much being kind;
it is being CREATIVE
to WAKE
a person up.
- Chögyam Trungpa
Chogyam Trungpa (1939 - 1987), the brilliant ‘bad boy of Buddhism,’ fled the invasion of Tibet, studied at Oxford, and shattered Westerners’ notions of how an enlightened teacher should behave. He was a Buddhist meditation master and holder of both the Kagyu and Nyingma lineages, scholar, teacher, poet, artist, and originator of a radical re-presentation of Shambhala vision. Recognized both by Tibetan Buddhists and by other spiritual practitioners and scholars as a preeminent teacher of Tibetan Buddhism, he was a major, albeit controversial, figure in the dissemination of Tibetan Buddhism to the West, founding Vajradhatu and Naropa University and establishing the Shambhala Training method.
"Crazy Wisdom" - a film about the life and times of Chogyam Trungpa, Rinpoche is recently released and being shown in US and elsewhere. Here is a lovely recollection of Ram Dass (video) of his memory with Chogyam Trungpa at the screening of Crazy Wisdom at the Maui Int'l Film Festival
"Any perception can connect us to reality, properly and fully. What we see doesn't have to be pretty, particulary; we can appreciate anything that exists. There is some prinicple of magic in everything, some living quality. Something living, something real, is taking place in everything." - Chogyam Trungpa, Rinpoche

Very nice Dear Sadiq. Brought back memories of what The Dalai Lama said about compassion "It is not just an emotional response (in a situation), but a firm commitment (in moment to moment living) based on reason". He emphasized that it is not just a feeling but a "feeling put to work".
As a practice of compassion he says "I meet anyone and everyone as an old friend"
Bless me that I "practice" compassion in my day to day living so that I can overcome anger and make this world a beautiful place for myself and those around me
Dear Sharmishtha,
Beautifully said and thanks for adding this wisdom from Dalai Lama. Many blessings to you and may the compassion be at work with you and those near you.
Nice sharing.
magical spells really work!! I never thought there were still honest, genuine, trustworthy and very powerful spell casters until i met the spiritual helper, MERUJA OWO. last week he did a love spell for me and it worked effectively and now he just casted another healing spell for my friend who has fibroid and family problem and now she is totally free and she is presently the happiest person on earth, she keeps thanking me all day..
I just thought it would be good to tell the whole world about his good work and how genuine he is, i wasn't thinking i could get any help because of my past experiences with other fake casters who could not bring my husband back to me and they all promised heaven and earth and all they are able to do is ask for more money all the time until i met with this man. he does all spells, Love spells, money spells, lottery spells e.t.c i wish i can save every one who is in those casters trap right now because i went though hell thinking and hoping they could help me.i recommend MERUJA OWO for any kind of help you want.
his email address is: godssent101@physicist.net
