Look into the eyes.
They say eye is the mirror of the soul.
You see the innocence, don't you?
This very innocence was inside you also.
With time you confuse your innocence, but they are never lost.
Return to your innocence and rediscover the beauty inside you again.
Behold, inside you lies the whole mystery of the Universe!
Sadiq. Singapore. 3rd Dec, 2005
I want to dedicate this poem to my good friend Natalie, AZ, USA.
ReplyDeleteMay God give you the real peace in your heart. May the blessings be with you all the time.

ReplyDeleteVery inspirational and a worthy quest to regain our innocence.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
I love the photo that goes with it, as well.
ReplyDeleteAnd may Allah swt grant us to succeed in having that innocence.
Beautiful-
ReplyDeleteBlessing Sadiq. The eyes of a child are like looking into the gates of heaven.
Namaste
We see ourselves reflected back in a way that doesn't reflect the garbage and baggage we've accumulated over the years. We see the one soul, newly embodied, and with a mystic heart like yours, can see that we still are part of that one soul.
ReplyDeleteSalaam!

Namste
"Behold, inside you lies the whole mystery of the Universe!"
ReplyDeleteThis is so true. It is something I have been meditating upon for awhile now and it really is a bed-rock truth. I like to think too about the whole universe is coursing through the tiny veins in a delicate, green leaf.
Beautiful post, thank-you.
this poem reminds me of the movie Millions - which i just saw this weekend. It captures the sweet hope that only children can have...
ReplyDeletenice poem:)
ReplyDeleteI liked your poem very much. i pray that you can get more closer to God.
ReplyDeleteThe heart knows not what it needs
Only when it finds its pair
Does it know what keeps it beating.
I would love to transfer this verse to one of my many journals, but without the picture, it wouldn't be the same. Beautiful poem, equally beautiful photo!
