I was looking at the shadow of a plant. There was this enormous beautiful complexity on the real surface, on each leaf ... and below there was this very simple shadow. Even the outline of the shadow was beautiful because it was created out of the real surface.
The shadow is easy to comprehend. That’s why we often take it for real. But the Real is far more detail and often mind boggling. That is why most of us live in chasing and following the shadow. And when it comes to the Real, we often find ourselves in denial. Because our limited brain that wants to work with rational can not comprehend the vastness of it.
