“O God, when I listen to the voices of the animals, to the sound of the trees, the murmur of the water, the singing of the birds, to the rushing of the wind or to the rumble of thunder, I see in them evidence of Your Unity; I feel that You are supreme power, supreme knowledge, supreme wisdom, supreme justice.
O God, I also recognize you in the difficulties I am experiencing now. God, let Your satisfaction be my satisfaction, and let me be Your joy, the joy that a Father takes in his child. And let me remember You with calmness and determination, even when it is hard for me to say: I love You.”
:: A lovely prayer written by the Egyptian Sufi master Dhu ‘l-Nun (AD 796-861)

Thats is such a beautiful prayer, especially the latter part...very touching.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! you really can see God in Nature.
ReplyDeleteMy Beloveds--
ReplyDeleteWhatever goodness you see in nature and in other people, etc., is a pure reflection of your Self...God within--the one who is breathing you and seeing through your eyes.
This is a lovely post, Sadiq. Keep up the GOOD work. The INSPIRATIONAL work. The world needs to see and hear more of the Truth everyday.
No matter what religion you subscribe to ...at the end we all end up at the same door--God's door, and He invites us in to realize that we are incarnations of Him. In our hearts we are nothing but pure love. Get rid of the limited mind ego, and the Heart will lead you to the great Truth that YOU are THAT which you are searching for.
Much love and all great Blessings,
Bhakti
PS A muslim friend of mine said that Jesus was not an incarnation of God because God would never incarnate as a person. Therefore, let me make it very clear that it was not my intention to insult anyone's religion with my above comments.
My comments are a reflection of my experience and of the beliefs that come of these experiences. Please take them or leave them as you wish.
My only prayer is that everyone find the PEACE that is within themselves.
Om Namah Shivaya!
