Here is a lecture from a Dr. Tariq, on the subject of "Purification of Heart". Listen to it, God willing you may benefit from it. In this lecture, the term Allah Subhanatala refers to "God, Glory unto Him". In Arabic, the term Allah points to One, True God. In the beginning there is some invocation of God's grace in arabic. But rest of the lecture is in Plain English. So non-muslim will not have problem understanding it.
