Infinite Beauty

Do not go to the garden of flowers!
O Friend ! go not there;
In your body is the garden of flowers.
Take your seat on the thousand petals of the lotus,
And there gaze on the Infinite Beauty.

~ Songs of Kabir

This poem draws our attention to Beloved God who is ever present in His creation and to the infinite beauty He has created around us in order to realize His presence. God created everything because He wanted to be known and to to show us His Love.

Kabir (कबीर) (1440 - 1518) was an Indian Mystic who preached an ideal of seeing all of humanity as one. His monist philosophies and ideas of loving devotion to God are expressed in metaphor and language from both the Hindu Vedanta and Bhakti streams and Muslim Sufi ideals. More About Kabir here.
